QUESTION:  I have a niece getting married soon. I know you do wedding gowns, but I'm wondering if you have gift certificates available. I waited too long with my gown and was then too embarassed to bring it in. It had turned yellow and had brown spots on it. When my daughter asked if she could wear it I had to tell her I had thrown it out. I don't want that to happen to my niece's gown.

ANSWER:  What a great idea you have! A gift certificate for the cleaning and true preservation of her bridal gown is something she'll appreciate even more as times goes on. Those ugly brown stains you discovered after time on your gown are most often caused by oxidation of clear sugary substances such as champagne or soda. Drycleaning alone does not remove these stains. As a Wedding Gown Specialist, we treat the gowns with a unique "anti-sugar stain treatment". That's why we can put a lifetime guarantee on our True Preservation. It's a shame you threw your gown away because we also specialize in the restoration of gowns.
Stop in anytime for that gift certificate.

QUESTION:  I wear jeans in a variety of colors. I've noticed that the color fades. Why is that?

ANSWER:  The dyes used to color denim have a limited colorfastness. The color may have been applied to the fabric before or after garment construction. This contribues to the problem. Washing is usually the recommended method of care, but a progressive color loss is possible. In some cases drycleaning is recommended; fading may not be as dramatic, but some dulling of the surface may occur.
